Indicator buzzer

Postby Andrew » Mon Jul 16, 2018 8:50 pm

as my indicator controller is mounted inside the bulkhead,. I can't hear the nice tick tick tick! I do find that every now and then I drive along blinking merrily away like an annoying git! Does anyone know where you can source a buzzer and would it be wired in parallel or series?

Cheers,

Andrew.

We have a small buzzer wired in parallel with the inducator lamp, after forgetting to cancel the indicator too many times. Mounted behind the panel it is loud enough not to forget...

Its the round white one that we used, part number 030-010.

Note - the 'legal requirement' , retrospective :? :? on a 1961 manuf. 109" (in fact No. 66) , it may be a Ryder or Maypole , one of the common ones at caravan places. It is tiny - abt. 3/4" x 3/4" x 1" - I situated it in the tub under the rear light fitting cover at offside. I have a pick-up truck cab fitted - it is irritating noisy  I think I will encase it in a block of foam packing with a tie-wrap around
And I thought it was a thermostat !
